First jar of baby food and a bath!!

Well, I decided to try actual baby food instead of rice cereal today and Cooper loved it. So, evidently he just doesn't like the taste of the cereal. So, today I gave him pears, and he really liked them. He was verrry messy and didn't understand the spoon,but once I raked it into his mouth he was sure he liked it. Afterwards he played a little while and then wanted his bottle.

A reception for daddy and trying to say mama

Zac had his last day of being a resident Friday, and they had a reception for them all. I got Coop all dressed up in his khakis..doesn't he look precious?? Just like a little man. I have also been working verrry hard with him trying to say mama. So far he has got the mmm down pat. He sits in my lap and looks up at me as I repeat mama (yes..that is the look he gives me..doesn't he look interested in learning??) Confused is more like it, but he is trying. Every time I say mama he says some sort of babble back to me or just says "mmm", but has not made the connection yet.

Father's Day

I think so far Zac has had a good father's day. We got up and did presents (Cooper and I got him a Titans t-shirt, the 4th season of it's always sunny in philidelphia, a matching titans outfit for Coop, a Florida State bib for Coop, and then the main gift was the book we wrote him on shutterfly). After all of that, we got ready for church, and then came home and relaxed.

First bath in Cooper's very own bathroom!!

I got to bathe Cooper tonight in his own bathroom. It was fun. Today he started pushing up on his legs. He may stand before he crawls. His legs are a lot stronger than his arms though. But, I would set him on my stomach and he would put his legs down and stand for a second and then just giggle. It was too cute.

A House!

Ahhh, well we are moved. We moved all day Saturday, then hung pictures, did laundry, put things away Saturday night, and put Cooper down for bed at 9:30 (luckily it did not mess up his schedule). We were up and headed to church this morning, and in sunday school, I realised that I am going to HAVE to put him in the nursery very soon. He sits in sunday school and babbles to himself and giggles if anyone looks or speaks to him. However, the mommy in me does not want to let anyone else take care of him. But, we will let go eventually. Anyway, the house is great. I did not sleep at all last night because it does not feel like my home yet. Of course, now we need some new furniture and a few little odds and ins, but we're in, and Lord willing, I will never live in an apartment again!!!!

Nana love, sweet sleeping and new sandals

I bought Coop some sandals today. They are to small in length, but his little foot is sooo narrow that he has to just wear them too small so that they do not fall off. We also went to manchester (in the midst of bonnaroo) to bring home stuff to store at our new house. So, we went to see Papa and Nana, and then we went to Tullahoma to see Grandad and Gigi. It was a fun but exhausting trip. Cooper was a pouty boy. I thought I would blog since we are moving officially this weekend, and we are about to shut the computer down. Oh, and today...Cooper took a 2 hour afternoon nap. Yayyy!! Finally. And after a lonnng day, now we are headed to a pharmacy dinner. Good Bye

I love Trash

My bunny Trash has been with me ever since I was admitted to the hospital. He has been around for a while now, but I just started to appreciate him. I now can locate him in my crib, grab him, and then I like to eat his floppy ears!! Mommy says it's gross because there are hard slobber spots on him. So when she reached down to grab trash, I yanked her glasses right off her face and then started chewing on them. Yesss, I am into everything. I now like to pull hair, yank on jewelry, and pull off mommy and daddy's glasses. Today I rolled over 3 times and mommy just clapped and filmed me. She goes way overboard with the videos and pictures. Mommy and daddy are pretty crazy over me and my cuteness. At least I have Trash..he's normal. Love Cooper

Things Cooper Does

Cooper is almost 6 months, and it is just so sad. I can't believe he is almost half a year. It just blows my mind. But he is doing so many things that just make us smile. His giggles are the funniest things. He acts like he is going to crawl. He pushes his knees up to his stomach and slides his body forward. It is so funny to watch him move around on our bed. He is always playing with his feet, and has rolled over a few times. Today, I started noticing that everytime I left the room and was not in his sight, he screamed. So, he might be starting to go through separation anxiety (which is fine with me, it just shows me how much he loves me!! So sweet). Today, I moved more stuff to the house, and Cooper layed in his bed and looked at his mobile, and cried of course. Then we went to pottery barn to do more registering with Erin and Cooper rode on my tummy in his back pack and slept.

Goodies for Finn

We had such a good time registering today for little Finn. Now that I kind of know what babies need, I went and helped Erin register. And oh, it is all so cute. It made me already want to do it all again. Cooper stayed at home and helped daddy move stuff to the new house. Baby stuff is always overwhelming, so we were in the store for probably 3 hours. It went to fast though.

And on the Cooper front... this has been night two of him sleeping through the night! He also goes to the Dr next thursday for more shots. Poor baby.

First Scream Free Bath

It has taken 5 1/2 months, but the day finally came... Cooper took his bath without wailing. He usually screams, wiggles out of the tub, falls half way in the water, and flails his arms. But the other night, he just sat there and at the end of it he gave me the sweetest smile.

New House

Today, I have been at the house cleaning, hanging curtain rods, and all that good stuff. Mom was with me because she is such a worker, and she always offers...she likes things cleaner than me. It was good to have her there cleaning. With hard wood throughout the house, I have lots to wash and work on. I got these new eco friendly curtains that keep the heat out and cold out in the different seasons. I also got curved hotel shower rods which I think are very neat. We are not actually moving until the 13th, but I am there daily moving small things and doing work around the place. Cooper layed in his bouncy chair and played while we worked. Whew, very tiring. Tomorrow I am going back to do more but first, I am getting my hair done and Kristin is going to babysit for me!!
