More surgery and more chanels

Friday I had my second surgery. I got my rod put in the bone. I am that much closer to finally having a tooth!! After my surgery Quinn and I went home and he played in the floor while I slept on the couch. We had the at&t people come out to install cable. They were here from 12:45 to almost 6:00. It took forever. Quinn kept walking around the house asking me when they were going to leave and Cooper kept locking them out of his playroom. They went up in the playroom to look at something on that tv which apparently aggravated Cooper because when they went back up Cooper had locked the door. They came to get me and said it was locked, so I went up and unlocked it. Not only had Cooper locked it, he had built up a wall to keep the people out. I had to climb over chairs and toys and everything else possible to get in and let the at&t guy finish the work. Cooper clearly did not want them messing with his after school blues clues watching. We are liking it so far though. We now have all channels in every room of the house and not just the main box in the den. We also have dvr which we didn't realize how much we would love. Cooper has a channel that plays AFV all the time!!

 Hank drew a timeline of his life at school. Him as a baby, and a toddler, and then kindergarten and first grade. I thought it was such  good drawing.

 Our Bible study the other night was the passover plagues and at the end of the story Hank looked at us and said, "can we do that? put blood on our house so we don't have to kill Cooper? Lets do that please". Haha, oh it was so funny.

 Saturday we went swimming.

 And Quinn passed out after playing at the pool all day.

 I dreamt that night that I brushed my teeth too hard and my tooth was bleeding. Woke up to find this! Ha, i guess I really was drooling blood.

 Kimberly and Robert and the boys met us at church Sunday. We went out for lunch after wards. Such a wonderful feeling to have them back and our boys get along so well.

Eclipse

Sunday evening Cyndi and Brenton came up to spend the night. The boys were so excited. They brought us dinner and we ate and then played outside with the fubbles. Quinn could have played with those all night. He was so serious about getting those bubbles to do just right. Zac had work the next day and I got up and went to the Y. Brenton made a little box for the boys to look at the eclipse through.  Cyndi brought some chicken salad and other lunch stuff and we ate and then started going out on the deck. Hank was very excited about the eclipse. He probably went out on the porch to look at the sun 50 times. He really enjoyed it. Cooper wanted no part of it and Quinn at first didn't but then I got him to wear his glasses and look up. He said, "oh i see the moon"! It was so weird to watch the change in the lighting though. It was still sunny but yet dim looking. Very crazy. Once it came close to time, we brought all of our chairs out and sat on the porch. It was a fun day. And like all fun days.....Hank was very disappointed when it was over.

Potty training Quinn

Monday I started potty training Quinn. Of course it was a Monday so it was a 2 hour gym day, then we needed to go to the store. So by 12 we truly started potty training and then it was nap time. I thought I would never get him potty trained with how much we are on the go. I decided to start with the naked method since I had read it works faster. So when he woke up from his nap he stayed in a t shirt and nothing else from the waste down. He had maybe 1 or 2 accidents that day. We did the same the next day and he had several accidents, maybe 4 to 5. Then he begged for his underwear so that he wouldn't pee on the floor. So he knew when it was coming and he wanted that security of underwear. We did the same Wednesday and Thursday I let him have his underwear back. We went to the Y and to have lunch with Kimberly and then back home. I think I took him swimming Tuesday as well, so not much consistency with training but by Friday he wasn't having any accidents. Sunday I decided to go ahead and send him to church (we are there for 3 hours) in his underwear. He was dry all day. So we haven't looked back. No pull ups except for nap time and he wakes up dry from his nap anyway. I had prayed that he would get the hang of it and that he would be easy to train and I am blown away. Hank was so hard to potty train and Cooper of course took 6 years to potty train and Quinn does it in one week. I waited longer with Quinn though, and if that's what it takes to skip all the fighting and stressing, then i am so glad I waited. He has star wars underwear that he picked out at target which he loves. They have "darth vader and yoyo (yoda) "on them! He's even pooping in the potty....seriously I am just so amazed and so thankful!!


Yep, 3 days of this. We need to burn all of our furniture now.  Thankfully he never had an accident on the furniture and even the few he had were not much.
