More YMCA fun

This is how he was when I picked him up from Y play. None of us slept last night. Like literally we got 3 hours. Cooper and hank were wide awake, watching tv, playing and breaking lamps at 4am. Come on February 11th. Ready for this ent appointment to fix our little nocturnal 6 year old!

Zoo run and snow

After a rough nights sleep,( we all have colds) we woke up to a good dusting of snow on the ground. I got up and made biscuits while Hank and cooper played in the snow on the deck. Hank has been waiting for snow so that he could drive his cabby airplane around in the snow. Later this afternoon mom came over and Vanessa showed up to babysit. Zac, mom and I went to run the zoo run run 5k. It was a fun run and we had great weather.

Yesterday after picking up our zoo run packets, I took the boys downstairs to the underground world exhibit. Hank loved looking at the fish and a snakes.

The weekend

Thursday after school cyndi came and picked up the boys for the weekend. Friday morning I was taking Zac for his vasectomy, so we figured it was best to send the big boys away for a few days while Zac healed. I have had some sadness over this decision of finality. I know I am done and for sure don't want to be pregnant again, but the thought that this precious phase of my life has come to an end is so sad. I can't believe I have 3 kids and it is all over. I remember the excitement of finding out I was pregnant with each baby and how I told everyone and how exciting it was. Time has just flown. I have prayed over it though and am at peace. Plus, getting off of this stupid birth control will be wonderful!! Anyways, We went out to eat Thursday night and then walked around a bookstore for a while. On the way home we rented 22 jump street from red box. Friday morning we got to the dr office at 9 and Zac went back pretty quick. Quinn and I sat in the floor and played until dr hill came out and told me everything went well and Zac would be out soon. He told me ," these really smart guys just don't go under very well and tend to talk through the whole procedure. He asked me a lot of questions and then asked the same questions a few more times". Haha. At 11 we headed home. We rented maze runner and just relaxed all day. I made spaghetti for dinner and we went to bed early. Saturday morning I met Erin near the farmers market. We did a test run for the hot chocolate 15k coming up. It was fun, not near as bad as we expected. We did 9 miles through downtown and midtown Nashville. We got back and a man approached us at our car. Then behind him an older black man came up and yelled at the man to get away from us and don't bother us. Then he proceeded to tell us he was homeless and ask us for money. His name was bobby and he knew how to "work" that area. Run off the other homeless people and then swoop in himself. He was crazy for sure, but seemed more of the harmless crazy.

Quinn soaked up all this alone time. He wouldn't even nap long, he wanted to spend every second with us while coop and Hank were gone.

As we ran, I came across Texas de Brazil!! We had one in Memphis and I had no clue they had put one in Nashville.

Ahhhh, the sweet sight of the farmers market. Our 9 miles had come to an end!!
I thought I was turning the volume down on my music, I was actually snapping about a million pictures of Erin's behind!

Hank adventures

Hank is one tough cookie to keep entertained. He doesn't like the YMCA anymore and tells me this every single morning through a whiney voice. But then we get home and he's bored and insists on being played with every millisecond of the day. One thing I asked for for Christmas was a cheekwood and zoo membership. I try to get him out of the house as much as possible. So this Tuesday we used our cheekwood card and went to "Tuesday's for tots". Every single Tuesday they do crafts with kids. So after the y..... I took him to cheekwood and he made a snowman out of clay. After that we walked down to see the trains until we were just about frozen. It was a fun morning and he enjoyed it. Today we went to target after the y and I bought some poster board and made him a potty chart. He still refuses to poop on the potty and we are completely out of ideas to convince him to go. So today I hung his chart in the bathroom and told him what it was. He felt the cardboard and said, " I don't know this mom". That means tell me what this thick paper is called. I said this is called poster board. He was immediately excited to pee and put a sticker on his chart. He did great all day and the after supper he ran and hid. Of course he was pooping in his underwear. Zac took him upstairs and a few minutes later I hear Hank just wailing. Zac came down and said Hank is distraught over losing his stickers. Haha. Good! Hopefully this will work.

Everyone fell asleep on Zac Sunday
Cooper gets stuck in the bouncer daily
Late night feeding and rocking quinn

Cooper at Sunday school and children's church

The power went out the other night so Zac and I got headlights on and lit a fire in the den.
