This morning we took Cooper Trick or Treating to Grandparents houses. He was a complete angel!! Of course got a lot of toys..and he loved that. We had a fun day celebrating his first Halloween.
Sox was very interested in Coop's toys tonight, and then Cooper grabbed him and basically put him in a head lock. Then we propped Cooper up on stool and he held himself up for a few seconds. After a little bit his butt starts to bounce a little and he sits down.
Cooper had a fun playdate this morning. He was actually awake for this one. It was a funfilled day full of screaming, Etta pulling hair, Cooper pulling Delaney's hair, Delaney kicking Cooper over, Cooper crying, Cooper playing, and then ended up with a bunch of sleepy kids. Owen was a jewel and just played. I think Cooper likes playdates because other kids have tons of toys!! I love playdates because I like to see the other kiddos. They are so precious.
Cooper has been so funny. He has honestly learned to look at me and smile when I have the camera. He does it super fast though, so I have to take the picture really quick. He will look at me, flash a smile, and then get back to his toys. It is too precious.
Cooper has become quite the poser when it comes to pictures. He usually flashes me that precious Downs grin of his as soon as he sees the camera. And if you will notice...yes I already have Christmas PJ's on him. Yay Christmas!!!!! It put us in the holiday spirit as soon as we put them on.
Today was our first time to be at the Buddy walk for Down Syndrome. It was FREEZING, but we would not have missed it. We bundled Cooper up and took him out to the park. He got to get pictures with big Cooper and Etta and got to see several of his other little friends. It was very crowded..I was surprised at how many people in the area have Down Syndrome. It was a big event! Then we headed off to Murfreesboro to Cayden's 2nd birthday party. That was a lot of fun. There was a toddler room where Cooper could play, and he looked at himself in the mirror and just giggled.
Today Cooper's grana came up to take us all shopping, and Coop was very well behaved. He had a fun time people watching at the mall. When she got to our house, she had a bag in her hand that mama had sent to Cooper and it was...... none other than Cooper's very own pair of moccasins. They are too cute!! Cooper is playing in the floor right now and wearing them. His little feet make these tapping noises when he slaps his toes against the ground. Hahah.
We went out on the porch today to carve Charlie Brown into a pumpkin. It turned out great!! We have to go get some candles to put inside of it. Then we are going to dress Cooper up in his costume and take pictures of him sitting next to it. I'm not going to put those up until after Halloween so that his costume will not be seen. Cooper was in absolute awe of Zac while he was working on that pumpkin. He just stared at Zac and then would reach out and touch the pumpkin...it was too precious.
Cooper and I went to Erin's tonight because mom was babysitting Finn. So, we stayed to play for a little while, took the kiddos to homegoods, and then me and Coop went home. Then, all three of us walked back to that pumpkin patch down the road and got a big pumpkin to carve Charlie Brown into. It was really cold, so we bundled Cooper up in his coat that does not fit him at all. Hopefully he will grow into it this winter, otherwise it was a pottery barn waste. (I hate that). Now we are home watching Football and baking brownies!! I love this time of year.
Cooper and I set off for our walk to Target tonight to get him some cereal and get me a work out in. I love that I have a Target that close. On our way home from Target, we came across a little pumpkin patch. Luckily my camera was on me, and I sat Cooper in the pumpkins to take pictures. Then, I talked to the man that was running it, and he sold Cooper a prized pumkin for a mere dollar. I was pleased, and it is a nice lookin pumpkin. On the way home it had gotten dark and Coop started crying, so I carried him and pushed the stroller. You can see by the time we got home Coop was OUT....and my arm dead. On another note, I was cooking dinner tonight and noticed Cooper sucking his thumb and swinging with Pooh Bear. Then I realised..YEP, that's my child. (For those that don't know, I sucked my thumb for a pathetic 9 years and was addicted to Winnie the Pooh). What a fun day with my Cooper.
Last night we got all the cousins together to take terribly awkward pictures and make each and everyone of them cry!! It was a lot of fun. Cooper was a bit of a bully..he pulled Finn's pacifier out and made him cry and kept kicking poor Sadie during pictures and made her cry too. Poor girl having to deal with all these boys..yuck. But I was happy because I got to hold sweet Finnster and Sadie. The Vaughn grandchildren produce some cute kiddos..I must say!!
