Hank's Minion Party

Last night we all gathered at Red Caboose park to celebrate Hank's 3rd birthday. We just had a simple party with a few friends and family, lots of good food and a playground. What more does a little boy want! This year was so special. Cooper has never understood what a birthday is and Hank has been too little. But this year, Hank knew it was his birthday, knew he was turning 3 and was super excited to have a minion party. It was neat to finally see this as a parent. We ate, had cake and opened presents. I rushed us through all of that as fast as I could so the kids could finally go play. He got such fun gifts and we were so happy that everyone made it out to help us celebrate. It was a great party and wonderful weather. Today is Hank's real birthday. I had praise team and had to be at church early, so I grabbed a box of donut holes on my way to church and had them waiting in Hank's Sunday school classroom for when he got there. We have 2 gifts for him to open today and then the celebrating will be over.


             The minion cake turned out amazing!!! And it disappeared fast too.

 We had minion cups and Nanny's punch for the kids.

 We had chick fil a, bbq sliders, chips, veggies and dip, popcorn...it was all so good. Thankfully Cyndi helped with all the food, I could have never done all of that alone.

 All the kids that came to the party had been at ball parks all day long. I so appreciated them all coming to the party, I know it was a long day for them.

 Papa and Nana were life sized party decorations!! The more minions the better.

 Link's brother Broch was so funny. We were eating at a table and Broch leans over to Zac and Hank and says, "we got you a bubble machine"!!! He was so excited he couldn't wait any longer. So precious. And Hank has been asking to do the bubble machine ever since.

 It was so windy, I could not get that candle lit for anything.

 Cooper and Hank pulled several balloons off of their strings and they went flying up in the sky.

 Amory got Hank this little minion and it has a little throw gun with it. Hank asked if he could sleep with that minion and I said he could. As I was walking out of his bedroom last night I could hear him whispering, "night night minion". So sweet, and sure enough he slept with it all night.

 My gosh, I am a whale. Any day now Quinn, I'm miserable and ready.

Another birthday in the books! And it was a good one.

Quinn's Shower

Last night mom and Cyndi had a "grandmothers" shower for me. I met them at JAlexanders in Nashville. I walked in, turned the corner and saw them taking pictures of cupcakes and lots of gifts. We ate dinner and then had a cupcake. After that I started opening presents. With as many presents as they had, I expected lots of little tiny things, but I was dead wrong, the more I opened, the more I realized they had gone out and bought me everything that was on my registry/wish list. I got a new super slender car seat, the mamaroo swing, bottles, clothes, a sling, drying rack, bath, teethers, noise making machine and more. I was in shock. I felt awful that they spent so much, but it was a blessing and I was excited all at the same time. I got all my bottles washed and put in the cabinet last night. Zac set the swing up and the boys played with it. Mom and Cyndi came back to the house after dinner and the boys were so wild and excited that they were there. Hank was mostly excited that he got to eat a cupcake. We played in Quinn's room for a while and then they tucked the boys into bed before leaving. I still can't believe I am now ready for Quinn. Everything we need is here and ready to go. It was a great night and I still can't thank Cyndi and Mom enough for such a nice shower. It's a little hard to believe that was my third and final shower, I still remember my first one like it was the other day.

These cupcakes were so good. I always think cupcakes are more moist than cake, and these were perfect!!
