Where is the sun??

Yesterday morning I got up and decided to get back to my routine of working out. Christmas killed me too, I was barely out of the driveway and already felt like I needed to fall over. I left the boys in their footy jammies since that was warm and put their coats on over that. I put them in the stroller and we went out in this dreary snowy weather for a run.  The way they acted can best be described as two children that had been kidnapped and were desperately trying to get away. They screamed....and screamed, and tried to get out. It wasn't that cold either, they just did not want to be in the stroller. We barely made it one mile and I had to turn around and come home, it was that bad. I was so mad at them. So this morning we got up and I did Insanity and they were more than happy to let me do that. It was too cold to go out today anyway. I haven't seen the sun in probably 8 days. I told Zac this must be what it feels like to live in Alaska. Zac's friend John came up last night to spend the night with us. He lives in Pennsylvania now and he was home for Christmas. His parents drove him here from Dyersburg and Zac took him to the airport this morning. We all went to eat Mexican last night and then put the boys to bed and hung out the rest of the night. It was nice having him home! As soon as Zac got back from the airport, I asked him to come to the barber shop with me since both boys needed haircuts, not just one. I figured I could use a little extra help. Plus, I wanted Zac to get to witness this wonderful hair cutting adventure. HA. So I sat with Hank in a chair and Hank got his hair cut while Zac held Cooper down in a separate chair for his haircut. Hank did ok, he jerked at some point and we ended up having to cut his hair shorter than I normally do. It is still cute though. Cooper had a new guy cut his hair. He is there all the time, but just has never done Cooper's before. Of course, when I was done with Hank, Zac called me over and both of us held Cooper down. This barber shop is great though and we are thankful they allow us to keep coming in. I heard the guy cutting Cooper's hair telling Zac how I normally position and hold Cooper, they all know us too well!  Haircuts and Teeth cleanings are the worst thing in the world!!!! After this we came home, bathed the boys and put them down for naps. AHhhh.

Hank played in the chairs after his haircut

 Bundling up for our run

The fit begins before we are even out of the garage. It's a workout in itself just carrying these boys and putting them in car seats/strollers.etc.

Hunt Christmas

Monday we arrived at mom and Greg's house and settled in for a few days. When we got there we got all the boys bathed and fed and then Papa had a Christmas story computer show to read them and show them. All 4 grand babies sat so well and listened to the Christmas story. After that we chowed down on our usual Christmas eve yummies. I swear I have gained 10 pounds, no joke. Of course my video camera battery died and I didn't have the charger, so this was the first Christmas I have not videoed the boys coming down the stairs. I actually didn't take a lot of pictures either. Probably because while the boys opened presents, I was once again stuffing my face. Cooper and Hank were so excited, and loved their gifts. They got a mechanical helicopter that just amazed them. We have been flying it all evening. After we all did gifts, we went to Sparta to papa and Granny's house for lunch. We had so much fun. After that Zac and I went back to Manchester and laid around at the house. It was nice to relax. The next day mom and I did our tradition of ornament shopping since they go half off. We racked up too, there were so many ornaments that I wanted. We grabbed cheese steaks at JandG, ate lunch at home and then Zac came to load the car. Mom and Greg kept the boys last night so that I could go home and clean, get consignment piles and put new toys away. I got so much done!! I met her and Greg in Murfreesboro today to pick them up.

Cox Christmas

Alright....so Sunday night we got to the Cox's house. We ate dinner, played with the dog and the boys opened stockings so as to break up some of their present opening. The rest of the evening the boys played with their stocking toys. Zac and I went to bed around 10 and finished up an episode of Game of Thrones. Zac woke up with a sore throat pretty early this morning, but I was thankfully able to sleep until 8:30. We got up and had breakfast and started opening presents for the little boys. They got all types of goodies and played all morning with their toys. I think the favorites were the cars that Gavin and Amy got them and the helipad takeoff toy from Granna and Pop. Hank loved this toy! The boys went down for naps around noon and Zac, me, Gavin, and Amy opened our gifts from Brenton and Cyndi and Nanny. After doing that we had lunch and then just hung out in the living room watching the boys play. Last night at dinner we were teaching Hank to say Amy. Somehow he associated this with Nanny, well turns out Nanny is now Mayme. Every time we pointed to Nanny and said whose this? Hank said Mayme! Too cute. We packed up around 3:30 to head to mom and Greg's house. Brenton and Cyndi were headed to the Christmas Eve service, so we decided to go ahead and load up.

Cooper got a bear and a flashlight as two of his stocking stuffers. Hank was not interested in opening his stocking, so Cooper opened his too.

Check out Mr redneck tank top with his spider on his shoulder.

Cooper got a monster puppet. He loves puppets.
