Happy Halloween

This evening we put the boys in the wagon and just walked the neighborhood. Our neighborhood has a crazy Halloween. I have never seen anything like it. Every house (except ours) was completely decked out. People had fire pits in their front yards and were out waiting on their lawns for kids. We aren't real big on trick-or-treating but we did pass candy out. Cooper ran around outside and looked at all the decorations and lights. After that we came back home and let him answer the door and hand out candy. We are out of candy, front porch lights are off and we have still had the door bell ring.

 He really liked closing the door after the kids left.

 Once he saw the other children taking things out of the bowl, he decided he wanted some too.....

 He started organizing it immediately. He's weird about things being just perfect (wonder where that comes from!!?)

God Made Me Special

Now that is something to dance about.......

I got Cooper this veggie tales book called God Made Me Special and it has a button you can press and the song will play. He loves it. Today he kept pressing the button for the music and then he would make Mickey Mouse dance to it.

 Then it was Cooper's turn to dance

 He's in his plastic undies because we potty trained all day

Harry Potter leaves for Hogwarts....

More like Harry Potter leaves for Harpeth Heights Baptist church, but either way, it's great. After naps this afternoon we got the boys up and started dressing them for the fall festival. We knew Cooper would not wear glasses so we drew on his glasses with eyeliner and his scar with lip liner. It was pretty messy but none the less he looked adorable. We took a lot of pictures before leaving the house (159 to be exact). We arrived at church and Cooper immediately ran wild. He was thrilled that there were so many balloons.

 Harry Potter and his zombie prom queen... I've said it before but Cooper is absolutely in love with Lily. He just stares at her in awe. But who can blame him, she is the prettiest little girl I've ever known.

 Every time she moved, he would move closer to her. This went on for a few minutes and we all got so tickled.

 It's tough being an owl, Hank stopped to teeth for a minute.

 We had a great trunk-or-treat. My favorite was Charlie Brown. The trunk had a TV with charlie brown playing and a screen with charlie browns shadow and it was just the neatest thing. It was so crowded though, I couldn't get anymore pictures. Cooper liked this trunk because it had lights and pumpkins.

What a great night, I love seeing what new costumes we can come up with each year and I really enjoy going to the church and spending time with our church friends. Cooper had fun too, he loved having the run of the parking lot. The boys were so exhausted though. We barely got to do any trunk or treat, it was the last event and Cooper was signing all done and saying home.

Saturday

We opted out of taking the boys to the zoo last night for ghouls at grassmere. It had rained all day and was cold. Zac did not have to work this weekend and we finally had nothing to do, so we layed around the house with the boys all day. It was nice. Tonight we took them to toys r us to get some ideas for birthday and Christmas. Coopers favorite things were this walker ball popper that was probably the first toy ever invented and a baby doll stroller with baby in it. He rolled that stroller all through the store as we looked around. He threw balls around, he ran from us and laughed, he babbled and pointed things out to us. He had the best time. Then we went to Jim-n-Nicks for supper. We both held a child, but at least they were not crying. It was one of the more successful outings we have had.
