We had a really great mothers day. We went to mom's Saturday and the boys got to play outside all day. They rode the jeeps, they washed the jeeps, they ran through the hose and helped papa in the yard. Later in the day Finn, Sam, Will and Erin showed up. Greg made some BBQ and Erin and I made sides and desserts and we had a great dinner that evening. Mom and I sat up until 11:30 looking at pictures and talking. Poor Erin had a migraine and went to bed early. We got up Sunday morning and did gifts and had donuts for breakfast before heading to church. After church Erin and Mom went to Sparta and I took the boys to the Cox's. They played in the back yard, we had some pizza for lunch and played in the garage for a little bit before heading back to Nashville. Zac had to work, so we came back in time to spend the afternoon with him. Well, the boys spent the after noon with him. I took a nap! They planted the garden and played outside. It was a good weekend.
Quinn received his "According to Quinn" book
It was a hit!

A Hike
I am finally sitting down to blog. I have the sounds of Quinn and Hank having pretend fights with their Mickey Mouse toys and Star Wars toys. 2 Weeks ago on a Friday night we took the boys to The Narrows of the Harpeth for a little hike. They did great, Cooper led the entire time. It's about a 1/2 mile to the water where they love to play. We got there and Hank started walking across the rocks through the water. Cooper wanted to do that too but wasn't as sure footed and quickly fell right in, shoes, socks and all. He loved it!! He even hiked back in wet socks with no complaints. Hank liked to throw his crocs in and watch the water rush them down to the bank. Quinn wanted to go in and play on the rocks, and Zac and I tried to carry him but we were too afraid we would slip. He played on the banks though and threw rocks in. Quinn is so fun to hike with because he pretend plays the entire way. He would get a stick and fight storm troopers and he would pretend he was in the raspberry forest from "Lord of the Beans", and he would talk and play the whole time. Hank liked to stop and pick every flower he saw and give it to me. We are trying to teach him to leave those in nature, but he loves to give me flowers. We got back to the van and stripped the boys of all their wet muddy clothes and headed home.
