Tired???

What a busy weekend. Zac had guy's weekend in St Louis, so me and Coop went to Manchester. We had birthday parties, anniversary parties, weddings, and then we traveled with Erin to Knoxville. Since she is very preggers, Cooper and I took Erin to Knoxville for her presentation. Cooper does not eat his bottle anymore because he wants cereal and baby food. Well, he gets excited, sticks his hands in his food, and then slaps his legs, gets the spoon from me, and slings food...anyway, you can imagine what the hotel looked like when we left. Cooper tried to get out of his carseat at the restaurant, Cooper screamed in the car, Cooper projectile vomited in the stroller, and Cooper took up the entire bed at the hotel. But the good thing is, Erin got there and back safely and Finn is stillllll in her belly. It was a great trip!!

Cooper and the lamp

This has been such a mystery to me and so funny over the past few days. Every time Cooper looks at this lamp in his room, he smiles and giggles. He will look away from it, scan the room, lay his head down on my shoulder, and then pop back up and start smiling at that lamp again. It is the funniest thing. I joke that he can see Jesus and that Jesus is making funny faces at him. Who knows?

Only Coop

I left Cooper on his monkey gym in his room while I went and washed 2 bottles. Of course he was screaming when I came back, but when I turned the corner to his room, he was not on his monkey gym. He had pulled/crawled himself all the way to his door and was laying face first on the hard wood. The best part is, that he had spit up somewhere along the way and had dragged himself through the clumpy spit up and mopped it all around the floor. HAhahah. Oh, my days are filled with such fun surprises!!

I did it!!

Cooper slept in his bed last night. We missed him, but now we know we can do it. I never got up and checked on him. Zac got up twice to check on him, hahah. And, like every morning, he woke up babling at 7:00. Then I left him on his monkey gym while I had my morning Dr Pepper. You can see where he ended up when I came back in to get him. He is so mobile now.

Growing up

I cleaned Cooper's room top to bottom tonight, and then Zac and I lowered the mattress in his crib. I thought it would make changing the bed not so hard, but that dumb bumper pad is just a pain. So, we basically lowered the mattress for no reason. The point is...we are going to start test trials of letting Cooper sleep in his room. He doesn't bother us in our room at all, but he has a beautiful room and we don't want him to get use to ours. I bought him a fan. We never left him in his room because there is no fan. So I now have a fan in his room and in ours (can ya tell I'm terrified of SIDS)...So hopefully I can leave him all night in his room. We'll see how that goes.

Big Boy swimming trunks

I was craving to go swimming today, so I decided to take Cooper back to our old apartment and sneak into the pool. He looked so cute in his trunks, and I wanted to see what he would do in the water. I think he liked it. He splashed a few times and giggled, so that was fun. The only thing he hated was putting on sun screen. He screamed!!!!

Rough Day

Poor Coop. He has been really fussy today, doesn't want to sleep, and has been ramming his mouth into my chin and chomping down as hard as he can. I think I am actually bruised from it. Still no sign of a tooth, but surely he's teething. He even took a pacifier; he just wanted to chew on it. So he must be desperate because that child hates pacifiers. I finally got him to sleep at 9:30, and then went to check on him and just had to take his picture. He looked so peaceful and PRECIOUS.

Big weekend

This weekend was Erin's big shower, and we had a blast. She got so many cute things for Finn and of course we had tons of wonderful food. I can't wait to see Finn dressed up in his cute clothes!! Later that night, we went to cracker barrell, ate, tried hats on Cooper, and played with toys. Then we came back and Coop and I played in all the wrapping paper from the shower. He loved that. He also realised this weekend that he can stand, and thought he was sooo big. I would hold his hands while he stood, and he would just get the biggest smile on his face.

On a walk

We took Cooper on a walk tonight in his backpack. He was happy and swinging his legs, and then toward the end of the walk, I looked down at him and he was sound asleep. He hadn't really napped today though because I had him out and about (we had lunch with all the girls I worked with). So he was ready for bed early. I just thought it was precious though how easily babies can fall asleep no matter where they are.

Bedtime stories

I am only blogging about this because I know years and years down the road, it will be something that I probably won't remember. Eventually I am going to print my blog so that I have it forever and ever. Anyway...BooBoo was the original and first book of the series that Cooper got. Everytime we read him Boo Boo, he is so still and quiet. So of course, I deemed these books Cooper's favorite books, but they are my favorite for him as well. They are just the cutest stories.

Starting to sit up

Cooper is trying so hard to sit up. He can now lift himself up off of my lap, and he can sit if you hold one of his hands. He is moving everywhere!! Although he can't crawl, he can lift his butt up in the air and then push himself forward. He also rolls both ways and can roll all the way across the room. I went into his room the other day, and he was screaming...he had rolled all the way to his crib and bumped his head on the leg of it. He is still drooling and biting, but no sign of a tooth yet. We also got him a jumper for the doorway last night. He played in it and moved a little, but definately not jumping yet.
