Sunday

Today started off terrible let me just tell you. So, Zac had to work this weekend, I had praise team this morning at 8:00 and a solo at church. I get the boys ready and in the car at 8:05 and the car would not start. Today of all days, why?? I called Zac and told him about it, and then I called Todd to say I couldn't make it to church. Thankfully, Susan answered his phone and said she could come get the boys and I. We got the car seats and kiddos loaded in her van and headed to church. Susan is our pianist, so since she was picking me up, we didn't get started with praise team practice until around 8:40. After that I needed to rehearse my song with the band. We have not been using tracks with our music anymore, but using the live band. The first few times I did that, I was a little nervous but I love it now. I sang" beautiful beautiful" by Francesca Badestelli, and it was a really good one for the band to play, it had drums and everything in it, so I really enjoyed hearing them play. Finally at 9:50 I ran upstairs to make sure Jill was there to teach our Sunday school class. Thank goodness she was. It was just a crazy morning. Anyways, after church we moved the car seats into Casey's car and she took the boys and I back home. Zac went and got a new battery for my car when we got home and it is up and running now. Tonight we decided to take the boys to the airport, bring a picnic and watch planes fly by. Hank was a tiny bit scared and Cooper loved it. Hank kept telling us what color he wanted the next plane to be. They were all blue though. He really wanted a yellow plane. After we did this for awhile, we drove to Wendy's and got ice cream for Hank. After we got home, I decided to go for my first run since my injury. Physical Therapy has actually been helping me and I have been feeling good, so I gave it a try. It went great, I wore my brace and took it slow. It was so great to exercise again. Three months of doing nothing....it's crazy how out of shape you get, and how quickly.

Monday morning the boys and I went to Liz's for a play date. The kids had so much fun playing on Connor and Carter's swing set. We played outside for a little while until we got too hot. After that we all played in the playroom. We didn't stay too long because I was meeting mom in Murfreesboro to give her the boys for 3 days. Zac is Chattanooga on business, so I asked mom if she would want the kids and thankfully she did. Anyways, we had lunch with Liz and then packed up to go. We were glad to get a quick visit before Carter has his T&A surgery tomorrow.

Zoo Day

Wednesday morning the boys and I met Kristin and her kids at the zoo. We had originally planned this trip for last Monday, and as Kristin and I were texting about it the day before, I literally mid-sentence realized I had physical therapy that day. I felt so awful because we had that planned for several weeks, and it just slipped my mind. Let me just paint a picture for you.....I'm  hot natured anyway, but it was so hot and humid that I was dripping sweat off of my face faster than I could wipe it off. I told Zac that if this had been a first date with someone, they would have never called me back. It was THAT disgusting. Ok, onto the fun parts of the day. The boys walked some and rode in the stroller some, but Cayden and Campbell were so good watching out for Hank and Cooper when they were walking. One of them would hold a hand or hold the leash to their backpacks. It was so helpful, not to mention adorable. We walked up to one of the little streams that have fish in it, and before I could catch it, Cooper chucked his bib over the railing. I climbed over it and went after it but it sunk very quickly. So I took my shoe off and stuck my leg as far down as I could and grabbed the bib with my toes. Cooper was extremely entertained by all of this. One of the kids favorite things of the day was the petting zoo. Cooper stopped in front of this goat inside the gate and just "maaaa'd (made goat sounds) at it over and over until I made him move on and quit yelling at the goat. Cayden handed them all brushes and they brushed the goats and petted them. As soon as I got the boys in their stroller Cooper threw his sippy cup. Luckily it missed the trash can and landed on the ground....however, as I was picking it up Hank threw his and it went in the trash can. Ugggg, I was ready to throw both of them in the trash can by this point. We decided to go eat lunch and let them sit and rest for a minute. So we went to the café and all had some food and cooled off. After that we went up to see and feed the birds, and then on up to see the elephants and giraffes. Campbell hopped in the stroller with Cooper and Hank, and later, thinking I was just really out of shape, realized I had 3 flat tires on my jogging stroller. I knew it had been hard to push all day, but we just never looked down and noticed the tires until then. As we were leaving they turned on the jumping water streams in front of the playground. Cooper and Cayden both went over and played in the water. They had the best time. We didn't even care how wet they were, just watching their sweet faces have so much fun was the best thing.

 Dip-n-dots times. Hank loved did-n-dots. I had to make him stop eating all of Campbell's ice cream.

 Cooper wouldn't stand in front of the stream, but got so excited when that water stream would spray Cayden. He thought it was hilarious.
