Craziness

As if our daily shenanigans aren't enough, i almost had to pay for a mans Mercedes today. All before 9am. I was getting Quinn out of his car seat at the YMCA and I hear a man yelling at Cooper. I figured he was trying to get in the road or something but then I heard him and he was mad!! I closed the door and glanced up and Cooper was trying to pull the Mercedes logo medallion off the front of the hood of his car. I was mortified and just kept apologizing. I think I'm ready for school to start now. I wish I weren't ready, but when this stuff happens daily, I just feel so defeated.
Their backpacks came in and are so cute.
Laughing their heads off reading nibbles the book monster.

A camping we will go

Wednesday night we drove to the coxes house and spent the night. Zac and Brenton got up and drove to murfreesboro to rent the camper. When they got back we loaded all of our stuff into the camper, ate some pizza and hit the road. Quinn rode in the car with me and Cyndi so that he could get a little nap in. We followed behind the camper and arrived at our camp around 2. Shortly after we got there Gavin and Amy showed up. They stayed through supper time and then headed back home. We sat outside for about an hour or so and then this storm cloud moved in and it just started pouring. We all piled into the camper and waited it out. We did a lot of fun things with the boys. We paddle boated one day which everyone seemed to enjoy except for Hank. He was scared the boat would tip over. We went to the swimming pool and to the playground. Hank shocked us all at the pool by taking a running leap off the diving board!! We had a fire each night and ate s'mores. Quinn loved marshmallows so much that he voluntarily ate green beans ( he hasn't touched a vegetable in nearly 5 months) just to get more marshmallow.  The boys did a lot of playing in the dirt and driving their cars through the gravels. I was glad for them to get a lot of time outside just playing. We listened to stories about  past camping trips when Zac and Gavin were little. I couldn't help but wish nanny was with us though. She was on my mind the whole trip. Cyndi had so much good food prepared for us. We woke up each morning and ate breakfast on he picnic table. Zac went for a run Friday morning and got lost. We were sitting around after breakfast and my phone rang. Zac said he was lost and could his dad come pick him up!! The trail he was on somehow wasn't mapped out correctly and it dumped him out on a highway. At night we would shower in the bathhouse across the street and carry the boys back over to the camper. I showered with Quinn one night and it was so much fun. We were all soaped up and he was just singing as loud as he could. He was so sweet. He just stomped around in the shower while I finished up. Sleeping was a little rough. Of course the boys didn't nap, but Zac and I couldn't seem to get comfortable. The kids slept though until 7:00 ish each morning. Quinn did good sleeping with me on the pull out couch. Today the boys would have Zac and Pop catch ants and drop them into the river and watch the fish swim up real fast to eat the ants. Hank loved that. I was surprised at how well the whole trip went. The boys did really well and had a great time. Hank didn't want to leave, and when we got back to Manchester, Quinn asked to eat his supper outside. He enjoyed eating all of his meals on the picnic table. We had beautiful weather too. The storm that came through Thursday really cooled it off.

Zac found a frog on the way back from the showers.

I made Cooper jump too but he hated it.

Paddle boating with Cooper was fun. By fun I mean a lot of work! He liked to play with the peddles and sit on them which made it really hard for me to peddle. He also would lean way over the boat and I'd have to hold him in. He also rode in my lap! He had fun though.

We stopped this morning to see the owls.

While they kayaked, Brenton, Hank and I walked the trails a little and threw some rocks in the water.

It was a fun trip with a lot of good memories.
