Lots of changes

As of today there is still no change with nanny. She is declining and not responsive. The other night at 1:30 Brenton came in and told us he and Cyndi were going to the hospital because she wasn't expected to make it through the night. Her vitals got stable though. Zac and I came home and then I went to murfreesboro and spent some time with mom. We shopped and had lunch. That night Zac and the kids blew up the air mattress and watched Snow White. This morning we got ready and went to our new church. Sadly, we finally made the decision after 18 months to leave our church. It was such a tough thing to do. My kids have only known harpeth heights and we have been members there for almost 7 years. Between nanny and church, we have shed lots of tears and had a tough last few weeks. We got to Brentwood baptist this morning and figured out where to send the kids. They liked it and walked  right in as if they had always gone there. Zac and I loved the service. It wasn't even the senior pastor preaching today, it was the missions minister. We left so encouraged and refreshed to finally hear a good sermon and it taught in such a good way. I think we have great things to come from finding a new church.

Part 3 Christmas Day

Around lunch time we came over to the coxes and hung out for a while. The kids napped while the adults opened presents. After the kids woke up they wanted to open presents too! Gavin and Amy got cooper a hex bug kit. He was amazed by that toy. He and Hank played with that for the longest time. It was such a neat toy. Then cooper kept playing with a hex bug while Hank opened gifts. They played all afternoon with their toys. After baths and dinner we did our traditional birthday cupcakes. Every year nanny makes cupcakes, puts a candle in them and sets out a card for each person that has a December birthday. Since she was all packed and headed to Manchester before the stroke, she of course had the cupcakes made and cyndi even found the candles in nannys bag. So we set them all out just as she would this year. The next day we got up and did stockings and a family photo. We had a big lunch of Mexican food and took naps.  We've had a great Christmas but it has been really hard not having nanny around. I've tried to help take her role as much as I can in the kitchen so that cyndi  isn't doing everything alone. I guess I'll learn more over the years. Who knows, maybe I'll even grow to be a better cook too! The boys have loved having Parker around. Cooper has to be reminded all the time not to chase the dog. He loves running around after her though. I noticed today that Quinn's bottom teeth are probably just a day or two away from coming in. He's been a little crankier than normal.

We had pizza tonight for supper and Hank insisted on going with Gavin to pick it up. He also told me he wanted uncle gavin to lay with him for his nap! Haha
