Memorial Day weekend

Thursday night we dropped the kids off at moms and drove to Georgia. We were having the estate sale at nannies house Friday and Saturday. Sunday we came back to Nashville and took the kids to the pool!! It was cold but we still had a good time. Monday was rainy so we didn't do much.

By Saturday the urn was the only thing left in the down stairs bedroom( besides some large pieces of furniture).
A couple came out of the house laughing and carrying the jar. Cyndi had told them the story behind it and they loved it. The story was, the first time I spent the night at nannies house i was probably 16 or so. Zac came into the downstairs bedroom to say good night to me and as he was leaving the room, he said, "oh by the way my grandads ashes are in that urn, sleep tight". Then he flipped the light off and it was pitch black in that house. It freaked me out and I made him pull his mattress to the doorway and sleep right there in the hall. When Zac saw it had sold, he said Clyde was a big joker and would appreciate that he tormented me like that!!
When the kitchen table sold, for some reason that got me. I stood in that empty kitchen and cried.
I looked out the back door in time to find Brenton with a bible out reading something. Zac must have thought he knew something and his dad was setting him straight!!
Quinn started clapping in the few days we were gone.

My tanning days may be on hold for a while. My kids want to eat and nap as soon as we get to the pool.

Quinn loved the water

Last day of kindergarten

Today was coopers "splitting out of kindergarten" party. They had awards and an ice cream party. I dropped hank and Quinn off at drop in and then went to school.

Getting his award

Look who ate ice cream!!!!
He signed cold and yummy.

All of his friends wanted pictures with him!

The teachers made these memory books and a dvd for them. It has all their pictures and school work in it.

It was a great party. I still can't believe kindergarten is over. We are very lucky that one of his teachers got a full time position teaching first grade and gave us all the option of keeping her. So cooper will have the same teacher and most of the same classmates next year!!

Drive in movie

The boys stayed with dad and Gina while we were at the wedding. Dad brought them back last night and spent the night with us so he could head to Memphis in the morning. They celebrated hanks birthday and watched movies in their cars made out of boxes!!

Ben and Deanna's Wedding

This wedding is something I have been looking forward to for a long time. However, this past week my Papa passed away. We went to Sparta Thursday and had his visitation and the funeral. Then Friday morning we buried him. We went back to the Cox's and spent the night Friday night, took the boys to dads Saturday morning and then headed to the wedding Saturday evening. I had almost forgotten about the wedding, and couldn't even hardly remember what day it was. But we got to the Belmont Mansion that evening and the wedding was beautiful. It was nice to see everyone. When the ceremony was over we went over to Watermark restaurant for the reception. It was beautiful. We were outside under a sheer tent on the porch, the weather was wonderful, food was wonderful. It was a great relaxing evening for us. We didn't fall asleep until after midnight and then were up early for church. After sunday school I asked Zac if we could leave. I just think after everything was over, the exhaustion just sat in and I got teary eyed again. So we left after sunday school and relaxed for a while at home.

                The girls all looked gorgeous!!

The light was bad but I had my bridal portraits made in front of these windows.

And my old boss was the photographer!!

We tried to recreate this

Yes that's blood.... I lost a big chunk of my baby toe in these gosh awful sandals.
