Kindergarten field trip

Thursday I dropped Quinn off at drop in and met Hank at Gentrys farm for a field trip. The bus was barely in park before I hear, " hi mom". Hank was hanging out the window waving at me, and I hear, "hi mom" again and his teacher popped up from behind him😂. We had a picnic lunch first and then we got straight on the tractor ride to go get pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. We did this exact field trip last year but Hank didn't remember anything. It was a good day, but very hot. Like extremely hot and I had soaked through my tshirt within the first 30 minutes. Hank cried when it was time for me to leave but he seemed ok. That night we went back to school for reading night. They had the book fair and Hank wanted some books, they also had a puppet show that turned out extremely weird so we left early. 

Quinn almost ripped that board in half trying to get his little fat toddler head out of it!! 

Islands of Adventure

Zac and I have wanted to go to Harry Potter world ever since it opened. We decided with this conference he was going to and having one day somewhat free, this was the best and cheapest way to go. So Monday morning he went to an early conference and then we headed to the park. We rushed straight to the new King Kong ride since it was usually the most crowded. We waited almost 30 minutes because the ride was having troubles. So we got out of line and went to the Incredible Hulk ride. Almost every ride after this though was a very short wait. We finally got back on Kong and pretty much walked on. This was a neat ride. We didn't know what to expect, but the way it was done was pretty unique. Harry Potter world of course was just wonderful! We walked through the gates and the music was playing and the singers were performing on stage and there were carts of butterbeer everywhere. Zac got him a glass and loved it. I thought it tasted good but it was pretty sweet. We loved the castle. Honestly though the ride inside the castle made us both dizzy and nauseous. I was so disappointed at that. But we could have just walked through it and looked at things forever. It was really neat. We ate lunch at the three broomsticks. They had traditional food that fit the tavern type setting. We had rotisserie chicken, corn on the cob and potatoes! Pretty heavy lunch but really good food. We went to olivanders wand shop and they did a demonstration with wands that was a neat experience. The actors were actually really good too. The castle though was just by far the best. Zac and I rode almost every ride in the park by 2:00. We expected to be there until it closed. There just were not long lines at all. So since I was struggling to bend my knee and walk, we headed on back to the hotel and went to the pool. After that we ate dinner at flippers pizza. Oh my goodness that pizza was so good!!! It started pouring down rain again so we just stayed in the restaurant for awhile talking to each other and looking at the pictures we had taken that day. It was nice. Later in the hotel we could hear and see some of the fireworks going on at Disney world.  The whole trip was really just perfect and met all of our expectations and excitement. It just went so fast and I'm a little sad it's over. It's nice having time with just us. We missed the boys though and were really happy to see them and spend the day with them today!

The candlesticks floated in the air at the ceilings too which was so neat. I couldn't have a phone out at that point though.
