Two teeth

If you look at the close up picture of Cooper, you will see his two bottom teeth!! He has worked long and hard on those teeth. They are pretty cute though. And yes, he is wearing a Kentucky jersey in these photos. I have a friend, and her dad looks at Cooper on facebook all the time. He is a HUGE Kentucky fan. He wanted to send Coop some gear to wear so that he would give the Cats some good luck (as if they needed it). Cooper is his favorite little blue fan. As long as it is basketball season, we are allowing Cooper to cheer for them, but football season will be another story. That is Coop's first official jersey. I thought it was cute. And yes, Kentucky beat Vandy.

Cooper-sized Snow Angel

Yep, I took Cooper out and layed him in the snow and moved his arms and legs to make him form a snow angel. I'm soo glad I did!!! I thought it was precious!! He thought it was some form of child abuse (party pooper), but I got what I wanted and then we came back in. For some reason the pictures are black and white. I have hit something on my camera, and I'll have to figure out how to turn it back to color. Today church was cancelled, so we went to eat at waffle house, and then we went to the bookstore. I think Cooper loves to get out of the house as much as I do, because as soon as we got to waffle house, he was giggling and playing and in a great mood.

Snow Day

Were we sceptical?...yes..but the snow really came. I haven't seen this much snow since Jr High. So we tried this morning to go to Murfreesboro to play with Cayden, but the traffic was so bad from the snow that we had to turn around. Darn. We got home and Cooper played in the floor and I heard a metal sound. Yep..he was trying to turn the gas logs on. I found the little metal key turner in his hand. He was banging in on the floor. Then after a 4 hour nap (this child sleeps more than any baby I know), daddy came home early and we went to play in the snow. Cooper is like a polar bear. He loves, loves, loves the cold air. It makes him so hyper. He didn't want us to sit him down in the snow though. We also tried to put Sox in the snow, but he heard a car and made a b-line for the house. Then, Zac had to drive me to the gym because he has 4 wheel drive or something like that. Aahh, Good day.

Time to lower the bed

Well, I walked into Cooper's room to find him standing at his crib. He saw me and gave the biggest grin, as if he knew he was doing something new and fun. We had just finished early intervention, so pulling to stand was fresh on his brain. Yesterday, we had lunch with Tracie, Rhonda, and Becky. Cooper actually slept through most of lunch. His teeth that are coming in are just making him so cranky, so he was a little fussy. Then Pop and Granna stopped by, and I was able to get dinner cooked and eat in peace while they fed and played with him. Back to early intervention. He will work for about 15 minutes, and then he catches sight of me, crawls over to me, and tries to climb up my body all while crying. It's like he wants me really bad, but he see's me and starts wailing. I don't know. So that is making for difficult sessions.

My Cartoon Character

I can't believe I almost forgot to post this. Look at all that hair!!! He looks like something out of a cartoon. It proves Linda's theory of cutting their hair really does make it grow. I have to trim his all the time now.

Barf

Well after a night full of sleeping on the bathroom floor and then finally throwing up by 5:30 this morning, I eventually was able to go to bed and woke up to a card that my sweet Cooper made me. Zac tried to take credit, but I know it was all Cooper. So with me sick and Cooper cutting 2 teeth, Zac had a doozy of a day. So glad today is half over. My boys are so good to me.

I also forgot to mention in my last blog that Cooper is starting to pull up on things. He stands and plays at tables for a long time. Then he will try to move to another table and usually falls, but he is really determined to try new things. And yes....that donkey. He is in love with that donkey. In fact the music is slowing down on it because the batteries are starting to run low. He puts his whole mouth around that donkeys nose and just sits there and stares at it. He's so funny. He is so proud of himself!! Look at that angel face. aaahhhh

I'm Crawling

Cooper learned this week how to get around. He is crawling, but I think he looks like a seal (you know how they kind of hop/wobble) hahah. He uses his arms and puts them straight out in front of him. Then he drags his legs, and he is actually moving pretty quickly. So I'm sure one day soon he'll figure the knee part of it out and really take off. His development has just started booming these past 2 months. I'm impressed with how fast he is catching onto to stuff. Now if he'll just start feeding himself. Surely if he is a true child of mine, then he will start grabbing at food soon.

Playing

Saturday, Zac and I took Cooper to the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro to play. I think Zac might have enjoyed it more than Cooper. I took Cooper down a big slide, and he was scared because it was a dark tunnel slide. He loved the toddler room though. He played with everything in there and of course loves looking at himself in the mirror. He's so vain. He carried his new hiking bear backpack that papa got him for Christmas. It's still a little bit big for him, but it's cute. The other little babies kept trying to play with Cooper. They were crawling all over the place and smiling at Coop, but he just wanted to play with us. Then yesterday, we took him on a walk. We would run really fast with him in the stroller, his hair would fly straight up, and he would just scream and smile. Today we are all playing in the floor. Sox is confused as to why we are all home and cramping his style. I guess he won't get his 19 hours of sleep today.

Therapy??

Cooper's therapist told us to start playing in food. Oh boy, not a good thing for a clean freak mama. But, I do as I'm told. So we played in Cooper's food and worked on putting his hands in it and then bringing his hands to his mouth (to try to teach him to self feed). He just rubs his hands all in it, then slaps his legs and then opens his mouth for me to feed him with a spoon. He does like the yogurt melts, but I have to feed him those too. At least it gave us something to do. We also played outside today since the weather was warmer. Some random dog came up and started licking all over Cooper ( I mean all over..like he was an ice cream cone or something). It was hilarious. Cooper just stared at him. He usually cries at dogs, but he didn't mind this one. After this we took a bath and got all tangled up in my Valentines Day blanket. He's my Valentine for life!!! My little love monkey.

Drinking from a straw

Cooper finally mastered the straw today. He has a honey bear cup with straw, and we squeeze it to show him that his juice comes out of the straw. Tonight he started doing it alone, so no more squeezing Mr honey bear.

More Snow!!

Cooper loved playing in the snow. He kept reaching for the flakes that were falling and just yelling with delight!! This is his first snow, I think it snowed a little when he was newborn, but obviously I couldn't take him out in it. So this was neat.

SNOW!!

Well, Nana got 2 snow days, so Cooper and I went to spend the night with her. We got up this morning, and Cooper looked out the window and watched it snow. Then he and I went to meet Zac at work to have lunch. Now we are home. He is sitting in the living room floor with his neck tilted all the way back trying to watch the Smurf's dvd that I put in for him. He is straining to see it because it is mounted so high on the wall. I tried to take his picture, but he turned and caught me and flashed me that sweet grin of his. What a booger.

Standin Man

Tonight Cooper started standing for a few seconds at his play table. His legs would wobble a little, and then he would plop back down. But he was reaching back up to the table and trying to stand back up.
