Non stop talking

Hanks teacher emailed me today. I will just post the picture of what she said......

Haha, oh how we have tried and worked on him talking over people and interrupting.

Hanks first day of school

Yesterday I took Hank to open house for pre school. He was so excited and immediately started playing with the cars in his classroom. We left there and headed straight to my dr appointment where Zac met me to watch the boys. Wednesday we stayed at the pool all day and Cain and Callie swam with us until about 5:00, then we ordered pizza and hung out at our house for a while. Zac is at church on Wednesday nights now so we just had a little play date. Anyways... Back to Hank! This morning we dropped cooper off at school then we had time to kill. I don't drop Hank off until 9 so then I don't go to the ymca until 9:30. But this morning I cleaned out the car and took Hank to Dunkin donuts for a first day of school treat. We were still early to school so I took some pictures and a video of him. He looked at me and said," mom I really don't like it when you leave me here". Then he said," I'm gonna miss you a lot mom". And finally, " how about you just sit in the car all day and watch me so that I know you are here". Sweet boy just crushed my heart. I told him it would be like Sunday school, and I would be back shortly to pick him up. We walked in and he immediately started playing with the cars again. I told him I loved him and gave him a kiss goodbye and he said he loved me too!! So rare, he's just like me in that it takes a lot for him to say I love you. He was great so Quinn and I headed out. It was nice but also a little sad going to the y without my hankiedoodle. I picked him up this afternoon and he told me all about his day. They played a parachute game in the gym and all the kids had to say a word when it was their turn. Well Hank yelled out "poop". The teacher told him he had to pick a different word and he said, "um nothing". Then apparently he said poop again later in the day and got put in time out for 2 minutes. He also refused to eat his lunch because it wasn't a grilled cheese. I've made him a grilled cheese every day since he could eat and now I have no clue what to send this picky boy for lunch. We got in the car and he desperately needed to poop. I'm starting to wonder if he was trying to tell his teacher that but in a baby/goofy way. Who knows. He said he liked it though and wanted to go back Tuesday. He is in class with a girl that was always in Y play with him. Her mom and I take all the same excercise classes, so it was nice to know someone. 

His teacher took these and emailed them to me.

He won that bouncy ball in his hand at a game yesterday during open house. He hasn't let it out of his sight. He picked a large ball so that nobody could swallow it! 

Poor Quinn

Last night Quinn was walking through the kitchen, fell and hit his mouth on the window and started bleeding like crazy. He was bawling, and as he cried, he was coughing and spraying us with his blood. It was nasty but poor kid busted his lip up pretty good. Zac and I swear there are teeth marks in the wood from how hard he hit. Here's his bloody rag. 

I took the boys to the splash pad again which was not near as enjoyable as last time. For some reason Hank just didn't want to play at all. He curled up and laid down on the ground and whined the whole time. So I just took them home and stuck them in bed. I found out yesterday that gower pre k is most likely not going to have any turnover in kids. The reason it did last year was because there were so many kids not zoned for the school and after care was not offered when parents thought it was. So that made parents pull their kids out which got lots of waiting kids in. This year the parents knew they wouldn't get after care and all the kids are in zone. So I called the church back that I had cancelled with and they put Hank back on the roll and he starts pre k this Friday!!! Whoo! He is still on the gower wait list but I'm not expecting any movement. 

Zac got the swings all hung last night and the kids ( all 3!! I usually have Quinn inside with me) played on the swing set!! It was wonderful. I cleaned the kitchen and did laundry ALONE. 

Falling behind

I have a lot of blog catching up to do. I've been lazy and busy. Last Friday I took the kiddos to the splash park. We had a wonderful time and Quinn loves it now that he can walk around!! Saturday the coxes came over and Brenton and Zac put up a tire swing that was given to us. Then Zac and I went to Ryan and brittanies wedding shower while cyndi and Brenton kept the kids. We still have no air conditioner but the past few days have been a little cooler. Today I kept Bailey again and she and Hank played all day. I took spin class as usual and then stayed for half of circuit blast while Hank and Bailey got more play time. Later this evening baileys mom texted me and said ever since she got home from our house she's been throwing up. So we will see if our household makes it through the week or not. I sprayed the house with Lysol but we will see. Thursday night we are taking the kids to drop in while we go out to dinner with a couple from our Sunday school class. Coopers school was on lock down today because a man followed a woman home from Kroger and robbed her at gun point. And tomorrow I am taking the kids back to the splash pad. Fun times huh??!!

Cooper has Weekly homework now...

Yes, we are still just as obsessed with the ups truck as ever....

Thank goodness buster was here to help with the swing set.
