Trunk or Treat

After a very stressful evening with the boys, which I will choose not to remember, we all headed to church for Trunk or Treat!! We got to church and ate some pizza. Cooper was scared of the blow up slides and houses, so we went inside to avoid them. After we had eaten they announced it was time to trunk or treat. We headed out front and walked around to see all the trunks. There were several that Cooper loved because they had some animatronic type stuff in them. They had so much fun though just running around outside. We got home around 7:45 and walked over to the neighbors house. Then we sat at the front door and passed out candy to our trick or treaters. The boys loved doing this. Mostly, they loved dumping the candy bucket and playing in it. Of course we got to bed late, they will be walking zombies in the morning (for the day after Halloween, maybe I can dress them up for that too).

Not happy that Morris Hunter and I were trying to get them to sit by each other for a pic. Oh well, at least they are both in it.

What a fun Halloween night.

Halloween

Ok so today is Halloween but this is not a Halloween post. Trunk or Treat at church is tonight so I will post on that later. This is just randomness throughout the past week. One funny thing that happened the other day was that Zac spent about an hour looking for Hanks sippy cup. He kept asking me about it and looking for it and I finally said Zac have you ASKED Hank where his sippy cup is? He said well, no. He then said Hank where is your juice? Hank walked straight over to his high chair, reached behind it, pulled out his sippy cup and handed it to Zac. I said see! Hank had hidden his cup deep in the chair. He may not talk much but he knows exactly what we are saying. I have been sick it seems like for 2 weeks. I finally got out this morning and went running. The breeze was pretty brutal from this dang hurricane, but it was still nice to get out and run. I went to Sam's the other day because they now have their red velvet cake cheesecakes. They only have these this time of year. However I guess it's pretty bad when you are walking out and the door man checks my receipt and says "Holy Cheesecakes". Then another walks by and tells me this will give me high blood pressure and diabetes. Yes thank you fatty mcgoo, but why don't you worry about your own weight.

 The boys have become so interested in the computer. Zac was working out Saturday while I was working a Stella and Dot booth at the fall festival and he kept hearing this song repeat on the computer. Cooper and Hank figured out how to press enough keys to make the song replay.

 Last night the boys carved a pumpkin with Tigger on it.

 I finally got a hat that Hank will keep on. Their little ears are freezing every morning as we walk into school. Cooper wore his for a minute but then pulled it over his face and couldn't see. This spurred on a panic attack that I could hear from inside the house while gathering up our things.

Sleep Walking??

Last night around midnight, I woke up to Cooper talking. I wasn't quite awake, so I just rolled over and thought, oh well, he happened to wake up and start talking to himself. A little bit later as I began to wake up, I realized he is laughing and is ON THE STAIRS. Not that I'm worried about him being on the stairs, but last night he was in his sleep sack because it was so cold. I opened the door and grabbed him right before he was about to walk off the top step. I picked him up and he just laid on my shoulder. Then I put him back in his bed and never heard another peep. I can only imagine that he was sleepwalking. How else can you go from talking and laughing to right back to sleep. Of course then I laid awake for a while completely creeped out at the shadowed figure of a child in a sleep sack laughing on my stairwell. Really freaky. Anyways, I knew that Zac sleepwalked once or twice as a kid, and just assumed that was what was happening.

 You can see how our stairs turn a few times, he would have a taken a rough fall in that sleep sack.

Halloween at the Zoo

We had almost decided against going to the zoo tonight because of the rain. However, the boys took a great after school nap and were in really good moods. Turns out it just drizzled and was actually a great evening. The Turkey costumes were a huge success. People were talking about the "twin" turkeys all over the zoo. Cooper and Hank even gave a pretty good try at their gobble gobble, which sounded more like gow gow. We got to the zoo around 6:30 and both boys went crazy, they ran all over the place. Cooper walked/ran for 2 solid hours. He did great. He was not wild about the dance floor this year at all. He was completely terrified. The music was crazy loud though. Hank liked it though so I tried to make Cooper tough it out for a few minutes while Hank did his chicken dance, as a turkey. I put some of my dress socks on the boys as their costume leggings. Hanks didn't budge all night but Cooper's kept falling off. I don't think his legs were chunky enough to hold them on. Neither boy wanted anything to do with the turkey head piece, so Zac donned that throughout the evening. Lucky me! We really could not have asked for a better night, it was a lot of fun. The boys didn't get in bed until 9:00.

And it's much more fun dressing them up!!! However Zac and I did take a looksie through a Halloween costume website last night and just played the game, what would you dress up as if we still went to parties. It was fun.

 Hank on the dance floor. Earlier in the evening we heard the witch Dr song come. Of course my boys love that song, they both heard it and made a run for the speakers. The whole way to the music tent, Hank kept saying ahh ahh bing bang, ahh ahh bing bang.
