Nashville shores

This morning the boys and I met Catherine and her kids at Nashville shores. We were able to get $10 tickets through the dsamt! We headed straight to the kitty area. After a grand total of ten minutes, hank ran up to me and said he was starving. This came after the workers made me take my cooler back to the car because cokes and grilled cheese sandwiches were not allowed. I told him he'd have to wait. A few minutes later I see him talking to two strangers. He was telling these two women that he was starving and wanted to eat. Ohhh geez could I look like a worse parent!!! I finally told him he can't do that and took him to the car to eat. After checking out a few different pools and play areas, some whining and of course, more food later, we landed at the wave pool! This was all of the kids favorite place. They loved jumping the waves. We also tried the lazy river. Cooper loved it but hank was terrified. He was like an octopus suctioned to my face. I could hardly swim or see. We finally got out and hank said, "I don't love that river". We were there until around 2 and then dragged 4 crying, exhausted kids out of the water park. Whew. It was fun, stressful but fun.

After we left I had to change the plan of meeting dad and Gina in Murfreesboro and run home to give the kids a bath ( because as always, they pooped). So we drove home, showered, threw clothes on and headed straight back out the door. We met them for supper near Nashville at ihop. We were happy to see Quinn! We missed him.

Summer project

Friday morning I met mom to give her the boys for the weekend. Zac left Friday night for his St. Louis trip that he and the guys take every year. So with this free time I decided to knock out my summer project of painting the den and kitchen. I started at 2:00 on Friday and finished up that night around 1 am. I painted the trim as well. It was chipped and dirty so I just figured I might as well do it while I had the time.

Ahh, nice clean kitchen

Meanwhile....

My sweet boys had a blast at nana and papas.

Never ending drama

All I can say is.... Poor Zac. And thank goodness it wasn't me at the pool with them because I would've melted down.
Yep... That would be our 4 year old that we absolutely cannot get potty trained. How mortifying. Never an easy moment in our home.

More conversations with hank

I'm sitting on the couch with hank and he looks up at me and says " how do i grow up?"  I asked him what he meant and he said, "well, I don't want to grow up, I want to stay little". Aww, he just broke my heart, because I don't want him to grow up either, but I would never say that to him. I said, "don't you want to get tall like daddy?" He said, "no I don't want my head to touch the ceiling and I don't want to have a beard". I just laughed and said, you won't touch the ceiling and you can shave your beard!! Crazy boy

Father's Day weekend

Quinn and I are sick and haven't slept in days, but we have still managed to have a great weekend. Yesterday we went to dads and the boys swam in their little pool. We went to the lake and rode jet skis for awhile before heading back for a big dinner at dads house. Cooper loves those jet skis. He wanted to go as fast as possible. I would hit the waves at full speed and he and I would just bounce airborne off the seat. Cooper would laugh and say more!! He was so funny. Hank didn't want to get on but once I just picked him up and sat him on the seat with Zac, he was fine. He liked it too. His favorite thing though was just swimming in the lake. He played with rocks and he and Finn played with cars. It was fun.

He had a Lightning McQueen life jacket and sunglasses!
