Public Appology......accepted

Erin, I have decided to accept your appology. I found the pool key waiting for us in the mailbox today, thank you. We had a great time at your pool. Hahah. I took Cooper to Vandy this morning to get his tube taken out and return the monitor. He did pretty good. So what do you do for a poor boy that has had no-no's on his arms and tubes in his nose for the past 24 hours??.....You take him swimming!!! Cooper can stand in his float and walk around in the pool now. He would chase Liz and I and just laugh!! He is hanging onto Carter here. Carter was actually walking behind the float like a walker. These boys are so funny.

Up with the Sun

This morning we were up bright and early to go to Vandy Children's for Cooper's EGD. Coop and I went to the surgery waiting area and Zac went to the cardiology floor to round on his patients. Well, he barely got to one patient before I called him and told him they were taking us back. So he rushed over, but then we waited in another area for quiet awhile. The whole procedure was quick and Cooper did really well. He hates having that probe down his nose though.

I strapped the pack to his butt because there was not a place to put it. He keeps trying to press the buttons.

We of course sat in our designated area of the waiting room. It is the Cooper/Finn waiting area.

Kissy Face

Yesterday afternoon after the race, grandad and gigi came to see me and Cooper. We played, then we went to southeastern salvage and I got a rug, then we went to eat at Olive Garden. We got back to the house and Cooper was in a kissy mood. I think it was our laughter and reaction that made him continue kissing. He's just too precious.

Grandad read Cooper a book. Cooper kept saying more, so I think they read it about 4 times

Best Buddies 5K

Well...we did it!!! Zac did it faster than I did, but we made it. It was very different from running on the treadmill. We ran quiet a few hills. There were tons of people there to support our little ones with Down Syndrome. It was a sentimental joyful race for me seeing everyone come together for these kids. What did we do after we burned all those calories?? We went to the pancake pantry and stuffed our faces. It was divine!!!

Pre-Op day

This morning Cooper and I got ready to go meet Zac at Vandy for Cooper's pre op visit. On Monday Cooper is having an EGD done and going home with a PH Probe to monitor his reflux. We will then go back to Vandy on Tuesday to have it taken out. They will take a little biopsy of some sort while they are down there and study his cells and make sure there is nothing wrong. Before we headed to the surgery floor, we decided to go take a picture of a book that my cousin Meg had donated in Cooper's honor. I walked into the resource center and asked them where I could find the book and they showed me. They said "You're Meg Mannings cousin??" So everywhere I go, people seem to know Meg. She is somewhat famous here in Nashville. I took a few pictures and tried to get Cooper to hold the book so I could take his picture with it, but he kept scooting his butt up against me trying to get me to read to him. Haha. So I held him and the book and the lady took a picture for us. This was special Meg, Thank you!

Yucky Therapy

Cooper played with a cupcake and icing in therapy today. He hated the texture of the icing and screamed and cried. So she mixed paint in with the icing and cupcake and it made the texture a little bit gooier and he rubbed his hands in that for a few minutes. But all together he hated therapy today....except at the end when he got to swing. He was super happy.

Best Buddies

This morning Cooper and I met Liz and Carter at the Pancake Pantry!! She had never been and I am always looking for an excuse to go. Their pancakes must have some drug in them that just make me crazy with cravings. I ate every single pancake! After that we came back to my house to play. Cooper and Carter are just the best of friends. They play together so well and interact well with each other. It's so fun to watch them. I'm so glad they have each other.
