Wilderness at the Smokies

This weekend we celebrated Cooper's birthday with grandad and gigi since they couldn't make it to his party. They took us to the indoor water park for 2 nights. The boys had so much fun. We took them down one of the bigger water slides right when we got there. It scared them so bad that by the time we reached the bottom, they were screaming and bawling their eyes out. It was so funny, but it did scare them, Cooper and Hank would not go back on it. Quinn decided he liked it and was going on it and the other smaller water slides over and over. The first night we went to eat mellow mushroom then went to get hot donuts at krispy kreme, then back to the hotel to play putt putt and bowling. Quinn loves to bowl. The next day Hank started doing the smaller water slides. He also did the surfing/boogy board ride, he did the climbing wall and the ropes course. Cooper loved the wave pool most of all. He finally got the hang of bowling today and did that for a while. Last night we ate at this cool little place called the Blue Moose. It had tvs every where, even in your own personal booth you had a tv with the football game on. We got to watch some of the games there and then we went over to the Christmas Hotel for cookies and to walk around. Cooper loved the coocoo clock. He kept signing more and he thought it was voice activated. He would clap at it and yell at it, but we tried to tell him it only does that every hour. He loved the kids that gong the bell and the santa that comes out of the clock. We had to drag him away. So sweet. After that we went to the hotel and stayed up late watching the game.

 The hot tub was another hilight for the boys. You get in the hot tub and then walk through a clear curtain and you are outside in the 20 degree weather in the hot tub. Cooper loved the bubbles. He went up and hung out with a family and I could tell the kids probably knew someone with down Syndrome because they came up to me and wanted to know everything about Cooper and they just played with him and talked to him.

 It snowed on us in the hot tub Sunday!!

 Zac rode the funnel slide. We all refused so he rode it with some teenagers.

 Zac met a guy that ran the same race with him in black mountain and they got to talking about how hard the course was. Turns out the guy won the entire race, even he said though it was the hardest course he had ever done.

 We got in the car to leave the Christmas hotel and Zac asked Quinn what he and doorman were talking about. Quinn said he asked the doorman, "who are you?" The guy answered with well, who are you? Quinn then told the man everything about himself. He told him where we live, where we are from, what hotel we are at, who his brothers are, what we are doing here!! We broke out laughing so hard. His personality just kills us he is so fun!

 We saw a bald eagle this morning. He flew right over our hotel. We then saw another one on the interstate on our way home.

 Cooper was so bad when we stopped for lunch that Zac had to take him out to the car and sit there until the rest of us ate. He was such a beast this morning. And yet again we used a plastic spoon at the restaurant instead of his metal spoon and that just set the whole thing off. It was over from there.
