The weekend

Saturday morning Zac dropped the boys off at moms on his way through to Chattanooga. I was heading to Clarksville for Lizs baby shower. I ended up stuck in traffic for an hour. I got there not too late though and everything was so perfect. They had a big breakfast and games and then gifts. Liz was so cute, she is all belly and hasn't even puffed up at all. I still can't believe she's about to have a baby!!  After the shower was over I ran some errands, cleaned the house, did laundry, finished up some consignment stuff and went to bed at 9:30 as Zac was walking in the door. After church Zac and I went to lunch and then I met mom in Murfreesboro to get the boys. Zac went back to church that evening for a meeting since youth group activities have started back up. I now feed, bathe and get the boys to zacs work on Wednesdays so they can go to children's choir and to class. I hated for them not to be at church on Wednesday nights so Zac and I worked it out so that he could get them and bring them with him. Quinn stays home with me. I'm starting a Bible study at church on Wednesday mornings, so that will be mine and Quinn's Wednesday! The boys were so tired this morning I had to wake them up for school! Since I let them sleep so late, I just had them eat breakfast at school. In the car Quinn was so funny. He calls me baby. 😂 I'm assuming because I call the kids that, he has picked up on it. He didn't like where I had my sun visor in the car and when I moved it back, he said, "there you go baby, that's better". He then said, "you so cute mama". Then he said, " nanas so cute, and papas so cute"!! I was so tickled at him. He is so funny. After 2 hours at the y, we came home and went to the pool. We had the whole place to ourselves!

Cooper was so cuddly when he came home from nanas.
I went to wake Quinn up this morning and Cooper was in his crib.

On the way to the pool, Quinn got our veggie tales devotional ( I read them a daily bible verse and devotional on the way to school every morning and Zac reads them the Bible before bed) and said, " I read my votional"!

Wuzz and Boody

Goodness I have nothing to blog about anymore. School seems to be going ok for everyone. Hank cried again this morning, but it's Friday and he's tired. We all have colds and feel pretty cruddy. Tonight we took the recycling out and went to Wendy's to get frostys.

This dude at the Drs office.....🙄
With jibber jabber and hand motions, he copied everything my dr said to me. It was very difficult to have a serious conversation.

Quinn has gotten way better at the YMCA and has taken on Thomas as his brother now. They are both there every single day so that helps him.

Quinn plays with buzz and woody all the time. He's funny though because when he talks about them he calls them wuzz and Boody. He pretend plays so well for his age. It's amazing how he can entertain himself. This week we pretend played paw patrol, we sword fought, we ran from bad guys, we went to the pool, etc. and then we also had a day or two of just laying around and doing nothing. He loves little einsteins right now. He asks me for weinsteins!!
He runs to the bus, jumps on it and walks off with the boys every day. Then he lays on the couch with Hank and just pets his head. He always asks cooper if he had a good day.

He got beads from the bus drivers toy chest.

So I got this nifty little new tool called a derma roller. I have been a picker for years and have so many scars on my legs that I cannot get rid of. The derma roller is for scars, sagging skin, age spots, skin firming, all kinds of stuff. It's tiny little needles that prick your skin and cause collagen to rebuild and fade your spots. I've seen it done in a dr office but thought I'd try it at home for the small price of $15. Apparently you aren't suppose to press down as hard as I did!!
I think I hit bone!! Haha, i discovered it works much better on fleshier areas such as thighs. I've seen results from people's stretch marks though and it's amazing.

Smoothing out

Our drop off at school was great this morning. Last week we told Hank if he didn't cry he would get a toy at the end of the week. He didn't cry but was obviously still sad. He did good though and got his toy. Today we didn't have to bribe him, he went on in with no trouble. Things are going a little more smoothly around here now. Brenton and Cyndi came up Thursday after her post surgery appointment and brought us dinner and played with the kids. Hank was so tired this weekend that we didn't do anything. We laid around all day Saturday and then Sunday afternoon we went to the pool for a bit. Today Quinn and I went to the pool and Catherine met us there. We laid out for awhile and Quinn did great playing in the water with other kids.

These two miss each other!

Some of hanks school work so far.

Boys

This week has taught me so much about relationships with moms and sons. I guess I always thought that with boys, I would basically birth them and then they would be on their way and be buddies with their dad and only need me for food or something. Tonight, once again I saw just how much my boys love me. Hank prayed tonight and he thanked Jesus for me and prayed that I would get good sleep tonight and that Quinn could breath better so that I could sleep. Last night he moved his usual dinner place and came to sit in the chair next to me. He said, I'm going to sit by you mom since I don't get to see you anymore. And it was funny, but right now, it feels so true. He gets home and only sees me for about 3.5 hours before bed. The first week of school has been rough. He has cried and hugged me so tight that I could hardly pry him off. Today I walked him in again even though I said I wasn't going to do that anymore. When we reached his class his little eyes welled up and tears started streaming. I talked to him the other night and he said, I just miss you mama. I volunteered at his school the other day which he said he loved, but it ended in tears when he had to go back to his class. I know he is having fun though. His teacher updates the Facebook page and sends me pics of him and she says he is doing great! Quinn has also started crying and not wanting to go into y play. So we've a bit of a rough start. I'm hoping next week gets better.

Coop, well you can see he doesn't miss me at all. He has more than enough mini mamas with him all day!!

Outside today they split open coconuts.

Last night Quinn was up so much that I might have slept 4 hours all night. Then today I painted the upstairs hallway and the foyer and now I'm dead. We hired a guy to trim and roll the really high areas, because I just really didn't feel comfortable up that high. But I painted up to where he stopped and had it all finished by the time the kids got home from school. I'm so glad it is done.

Full school days

This past weekend Zac left to do his second Spartan race. It's a trifecta, so this was the Spartan super. It was up in North Carolina black mountains. So the boys and I hung out for the weekend. I decided to take them to the science center Saturday morning. I called Catherine and asked if they wanted to go too. They met us there and we watched the astronaut movie then played. I won't even go into how unmanageable and awful my kids were. I actually had a child, A CHILD, say to his mom,  " oh mom, that poor lady". My kids poured chocolate milk all over a table and started playing/splashing in it. I went crazy on them and their punishment was no food. Harsh I know, but I couldn't even wait in line to buy them food because they were acting like apes. The rest of the day was basically more of the same and when Zac got home close to their bedtime, I had him put the fear of God in them for not listening and behaving for me. Monday morning was the first full day of school. Zac had some work thing going on and was able to come with me to drop the boys off. Hank is doing ok, he seems to be having fun. He still wants me to walk him in though. I asked him when he thought he would be ready to do it himself and he said, " probably when I'm 7".!! This morning I asked him if he would please walk in with Cooper and Marshea. He looked like he was about to cry. But he did it and was fine. He is coming home kind of sassy and fights with Quinn a lot which is not like him at all. I think he is tired and it's coming out like that. I had to wake the boys up at 7 this morning to go to school. He saw Callie today on the playground and was very excited about that. He likes riding the bus with Cooper, especially now that he doesn't have to wear the "baby seatbelt".

Friday he came sprinting to me!!

Cooper and Cain were so good in the movie. They just talk to each other. Cain acts like he knows exactly what Cooper is talking about even though I usually have no clue.

Move up Sunday at church was crazy too.

Hank had his first scooter wreck....

Blowing me kisses as I drove off.
