Quinn starts Kindergarten

I know, it's 7 months too late, but....still want to document Quinn's first day of Kindergarten.

August was a huge adjustment for us. Cooper started middle school, Quinn started Kindergarten and I went back to work. Quinn was excited, he did great his first day (a half day). Hank definitely had some tears. He showed up to class and didn't have any of his friends there. Jenna was in a different class and it was just hard on him. I stayed at school for a while going back and forth between Quinn's class and Hank's class just making sure they were fine and helping them adjust.

 I can see the tears welling up in this photo and it still breaks my heart.

 Cooper was a little sad right away too. It was all new and he cried and didn't want me to leave. That went on for several months. It was just hard adjusting to middle school and a whole new place.

 The rest of the week was harder. Quinn was tired and decided he didn't want to go to school anymore. He was crying every morning begging to stay with me. I thought it might be easier going ahead and putting them on the bus instead of going through the clinging to me and crying at school. By friday, he was a mess. He was screaming and wouldn't let me put his clothes on, I was bawling because Id never seen him act like that before. I had to carry him to the bus and the bus driver pulled him out of my arms and helped me. The bus pulled away and it was me, Jennas mom, Becketts mom and we were all crying. It was one of the hardest mornings I have had.

 So thankful Cooper had his buddy Isaiah from Gower.

 Ms Harrison texted me this photo that day and said he was ok, but just so so sad.

We made it through those first 2 weeks though. Cooper had a lot of accidents to make sure his new teachers knew that he was in charge and he was not happy! Hank got a little better and Jenna got transfered to his class because she wasn't doing well without him either. Quinn got much better and went back to his social sweet self.

Panama City

The last week of July we took a family trip to the beach. We stayed at Long Beach Resort which was a great experience and a really nice place. Our condo was beautiful. We had amazing weather all week and a few day we even had some huge waves. Riding is waves is Cooper's favorite thing to do at the beach. The boys liked going out at night with Zac and crab hunting. We ate out every night and had some of the best food! Sam was under the weather one day and then a few days later, Coop was feeling bad. All together though, it was a great week.

 The kids were so excited they got a table to themselves. We had a magician walking around the restaurant and doing tricks for the kids and making balloon animals.

 The boys had their first dip n dots. Hank even liked it and hes not an ice cream fan.

It was such a wonderful week!!
